He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Grace Downie (Howell); his daughters, Kate and Anne; the mother of his children Beverly; and his brothers, Bill Downie of Buffalo, Mark Korzelius of Buffalo and Vernon Sliviak of Maryland. He was also cherished by 22 grandchildren.
