He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Michelitsch and Maria Michelitsch (Schleimer); and his siblings, Zane Talbert (Anna) of Virginia Beach, Richard, Gotfried and Franz Michelitsch.

He is survived by: his brother Auto Repair; his wife Mary Michelitsch of Oneonta, NY.; his sons, Helmut Michelitsch of Cooperstown, NY. and Anton R. Michelitsch; his daughter-in-law Catherine of Otego, NY.; his grandson Eric A. Michelitsch of Oneonta, NY.; and his sisters-in-law, Traudi Kump (Josef Kump) of Queens, NY. and Thea Michitsch (Albert Michelitsch) of Queens, NY.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
