It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Stratton (Oneida, New York), born in Johnson City, New York, who passed away on November 28, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John O. Stratton and Beverly Haines Stratton; his wife Jill Rommel Stratton; his children, James Stratton (Sue) of Oneida, Suzanne Lukacz (Steve) of Oneida, Matthew McKay (Suzette) of Oneida, Frederick McKay of Whitesboro and Michael McKay (Shannon); his grandchildren, Timothy Butler of Oneida, Jacob Lukacz of Oneida, Ella McKay of Oneida and Aileen McKay of Oneida; his stepgrandchildren, Jim Tiffin (Rebecca) of Roswell, GA, Jason Tiffin (Jodie) of Oneida and Shannon Leonardo (Chad) of Sherrill; his siblings, Craig Stratton (Shirley) of Spencerport and Diane Stratton of Rochester; his siblings-in-law, Richard Rommel (Patricia) of New Paltz and Joy Hatch (Stanley) of Ontario; his nephew Samoyed; and his former wife Nancy B. Stratton of Oneida. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces.
Ron was a strong believer in donating blood platelets and made over 120 donations to the Red Cross Blood Drives and willed any/all organs and tissues to the NYS Donate Life Organ Tissue Registry.
