He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Niles Grinnell and Dorthea Congden Grinnell; his wife Donna Rood; his daughter Melissa Fellows; his close friend Joseph Wolf of Oneida; his son Josh; his daughter-in-law Shearen Grinnell of Blossvale; his grandchildren, Gage, Jacob, Seth, Mikalah, Mc Kegan, Madison, Charleigh and Landen; his great grandchildren, Myalise, Sylas, Avacyn and Sophia; his siblings, Julia Monica (Robert) of Geneva, Kitty Chmielewski of Verona, Candy Everspaugh of Canastota and Scott Grinnell (Debbie Sykes) of Oneida; and his son Robert I. Grinnell, Jr..
