He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Gafner and Martha Palmer Gafner; his wife Julia Mary Eckel of Vienna, NY; his children, Randy Gafner of Alexandria, VA, Alden Gafner (Susan) of Central Square, NY, Jeannette Dietrich (David) of Hubbardsville, NY and Amy Runfola of Camden, NY; his grandchildren, Peter Gafner (Erin) of Syracuse, NY, David Gafner of Baldwinsville, NY, JoEllen Sampson (Michael) of Oriskany, NY, Amber Dietrich of Greenville, NC, Ross Runfola of Camden, NY and Clara Runfola of Camden, NY; his great grandchildren, Teagan Gafner and Luke Sampson; his brother George Gafner; and his daughter-in-law Carol Behm Gafner.
