He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis McCarthy and Sophie Longwinter McCarthy; his wife Patricia McCarthy (Donegan); his sons, Joseph and Patrick McCarthy; and his siblings, Genevieve Corbett (McCarthy) and Dennis McCarthy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lynn Denby (Preston) of Oneida, Caren Mazzullo (Michael) of Verona and Shannon Dixon (Thomas) of Sherrill; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Fox (Richard), Brett Denby (Karen), Heather Denby (Derek Kane), Michael J. Mazzullo, Jr., Jessica Mazzullo, Patrick Dixon, Amy Dixon and Mark Dixon. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (121 St Joseph Pl, Oneida, NY 13421). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Friends may call at the church, 9-10:30 AM, Saturday, prior to the Funeral Mass. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to St. Joseph's Food Pantry, 121 St. Joseph Place, Oneida, NY 13421.
