He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alton Coe and Margaret Palms Coe; his wife Florence R. "Flossie" Lewis; his children, Alton Coe, Jr., Michael Coe (Cathy), Laurie Coe, Larry Coe (Valerie), Julie Coe and Eric Coe; his stepdaughters, Penny Tallman and Wendy Harting; his pet Sugar; and his son Curt Coe. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends.
