The passing of Phyllis S. King of Oneida Castle, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 92. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart V. Smith and Mary Mildred Dunn Smith; her son John J. King, Jr. (Jackie); her sister Joan S. Helmer; and her brother-in-law Dr. William F. Helmer (Eileen Kenny Helmer).
She is survived by: her daughter Christine Calogero; her son-in-law Michael Calogero; her grandchildren, Matthew and Clare; her nephews, William S. Helmer (Maureen) of Delmar, Stephen Helmer (Susan) of Manlius and Michael Helmer (Lori) of Summit; her niece Mary Claire Helmer (Ethan Sewell) of Morrisville; and her children, Billy, Katie, Elizabeth Helmer, Maura Conway (Jack), Caroline Langhurst (Jimmy), Meg Costello (Mike), Annie Barbera (Nicolas), Michael Helmer, Jr. (Kelly Waters), Grace Catherine, Andrew, Christopher, Daniel Helmer, Mary and Sean Lynch. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home (260 Main St, Oneida, NY 13421). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (121 St Joseph Pl, Oneida, NY 13421).
