He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Weber Diehl; his son Harold; his parents, Henry Diehl and Gertrude Strausser Diehl; and his siblings, Henrietta Winne and Henry Diehl Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Douw C. Diehl Jr. (Sondra) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Daniel S. Diehl (Samantha) of Windham, NY; his grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan, Sabrina, Brittany, Conner, Mackenzie, Victoria, Shawn, Dylan, Sophia and Ariella; and his niece Lisa Winne Leonard. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
