She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ragnar Kalen and Margaret Hassey Kalen; her children, Cynthia Hendrickson (Frank) of Vancouver, BC and Joe Bova (Carrie) of Olean; her grandsons, Ashley Charmin of Vancouver, Joshua Bova (Bernice) of Olean and Jim Bova of Chicago; her sister Ruby Gustafson of Lakewood; her husband James Bova; and her son Jerry Bova.
