She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward H. Cleveland and Ruth Cole Cleveland; and her daughter Laurie Coates. She is survived by: her husband Philip R. Hanigan; her daughter Kerri R. Hanigan-Jordan (Emmet); and her siblings, Marion Black (Sonny) of Liverpool and George Cleveland of Olean. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
