Ruth A. Shawl Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth A. Shawl in Olean, New York, born in Wellsville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth W. Water and Gladys M. Lobdell Water; her husband Raymond G. "Ted" Shawl; and her siblings, Carl Waters, Betty and Jean.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Shawl (Ellen) of Friendship and Heidi Pockey (John) of Black Creek; her grandchildren, Anthony Shawl (Erin), Kaite Shawl-Morris and Thomas Galatio; her great grandchildren, Austyn, Tanner, Bailey and Eileigh; and her sisters-in-law, Alice Hurd (Harry) of Cuba and Sandy Shawl of Cuba. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the SPCA Serving Allegany County or to the Hart Comfort House of Allegany County.
