He is survived by: his former wife Bessie J. Hinman; his grandchildren, Shayla Sands, Alex Armstrong, Alisha Armstrong, Sylvia Rethmel, Samantha Armstrong, Abby Armstrong, Levi Armstrong, Jacob Hathaway and Nathan Armstrong; and his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Mariah, Trey, Marcus, Peyton, Max, Paisley and Remy. He is also survived by two sons and one daughter.
