He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Givan and Bertie Yeaples Givan; and his brother James Givan. He is survived by: his wife Paula Givan of Olean; his children, Robert G. Givan, Jr. (Shelly) of Olean, Christina Smith of Olean, Shelli Givan-Baker (Scott) of Olean and Robin Sammis of Salamanca; and his siblings, Thomas Givan, Jerry Givan and Ione Burlingame. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
