He was predeceased by: his parents, Jason Layton and Anna Karst Layton; his wife Vivian A. Holtz; his siblings, Margaret Hunt, Jason Layton, Donald Layton and Leon Layton; and his nephew Leon Layton, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Karen Valdez (Dan) of Inverness, FL, Kathy Baire (Mike Lippert) of Limestone, Richard Layton (Becky) of Winston-Salem, NC, Linda Mueller (David) of Port Richey, FL and William Layton of Ravenna, OH; and his nephew Terry Layton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters.
