He was predeceased by: his brother John Godfrey, Jr; and his parents, John Godfrey and Jean Fuller Godfrey. He is survived by: his friend Sharon Godfrey (Neiler); his children, John Godfrey (Marie-Pierre Nadeau) of Winooski, VT, Jennifer Godfrey (David Sakowski) of Somerville, MA, Erin Godfrey of Boulder, CO and Amy Godfrey (Kirill Tolpygo) of Durham, NC.; his grandchildren, Dorothy Sakowski, Charles Sakowski and Yuri Tolpygo; and his sisters, Judith Patton, Patricia McKinley and Jane Larmon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
