He was predeceased by: his parents, Smith Ervay and Evelena Pettis Ervay; and his siblings, Wanda Gore, Sally Chafin, Smith Ervay, Jr. and Thomas Ervay.
He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Gould; his wife Lila L. Mitchell Deckman; his children, Mark Ervay (Melissa) of Ransomville, Michael Ervay (Tracy) of Little Valley, Carole Walker (Kirk) of Bradford, PA and Thomas Deckman (Melissa) of Olean; his grandchildren, Colby James Ervay, Dean Mitchell Ervay, Lillian Elaine Ervay, Jamie Leigh Pantano (Nate), Jason Russo and Benjamin Halleck; and his brother-in-law John Mitchell (Joanne) of East Amherst. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
