He was predeceased by: his parents, Mielad Joseph and Florence Wollenburger Joseph; his parents-in-law, Robert and Lois Lyons; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe Lyons and Daniel Scanlon.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah K. Lyons; his children, Christopher Joseph (Lauren) of Falls Church, VA. and Lori A. Triplett (Billy) of Ashburn, VA.; his grandchildren, Jackson, Benjamin, Will and Ruby; his brother Emil F. Joseph (Joanne) of Allegany; and his siblings-in-law, Moose Lyons (Marilyn), Tom Lyons (Judy), Tim Lyons (Brenda), Mike Lyons (Sandy), Mary Ann Scanlon and Pam Neary (Michael). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
