He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Sadie Miller; his wife Arlene M. Jerolds; his children, Cathy Zapel of Bradford, PA and Dr. Michael Miller (Daena Feldman) of Annapolis, MD; and his grandchildren, Patrick Zapel (Olivia) of Warren, PA, Katie Zapel of Bradford, PA, Dr. John Feldman (Laura) of Jersey City, NJ and Matthew Zapel. He was also cherished by 5 great grandchildren.
