With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Giles B. Hamlin MD of Olean, New York, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Hamlin (Cooke) and Charles Hoffman Hamlin; and his wife Marie Therese Wasik. He is survived by: his children, Ann Hampshire (Richard) of Friendship, NY, Janie Hamlin (Peter Schmidt) of Breckenridge, CO, Elizabeth Hamlin-Volz (Patrick Volz) of Colchester, VT and Giles B. Hamlin, Jr. (Judith) of Mendon, VT; and his grandchildren, Hannah Stuck (Joshua), Molly Dougherty (Tim Litz), Andrew Dougherty, Abby Bartz (Joe), Giles B. "Charlie" Hamlin, III, Aubrey James "Jamie" Hamlin, Sarah Hamlin, David Hampshire (Cynthia), Keane Hampshire and Steffan Hampshire (Courtney). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
