With solemn reverence, we commemorate George T. W. Hendrix Jr. of Olean, New York, whose life came to an end on April 7, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tobias Whip and Kathryn Greene Hendrix. He is survived by: his wife Norma Henry; his daughter Lynne (Norman); and his stepchildren, Michael (Kelly), Mark (Kathy) and Toby (Diane). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels' (202 S Union St, Olean, NY 14760).
