It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine R. Buchanan (Olean, New York), who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest W. Powell and Dorothea M. Dennis Powell; her husband Norman Buchanan; her children, James McAllister, Larry Burch and Beverly Morris; her grandson William Slocum, Jr.; her great grandchild Justin Sage; and her siblings, Herbert, Raymond Powell, Ida Tuttle, Pearl "Shorty" Coyle, Charlotte Woodin, Onalee Sturtevant, Joyce Sturtevant and Velma McGrath.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Burch of Hinsdale and Jessica Buchanan of Olean; her stepson Garry Buchanan of Bradford, PA; her siblings, Arleen Sharp of Maine, Robert Powell of West Clarksville and Barbara Woodin of North Carolina; her brother-in-law Earl Strutevant of Albion; and also Royden Burch. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.
