He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Jeanne Mattern and Roger Francis Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Stewart; his stepchildren, Eric of Olean, Jason of Olean, Amy of Olean, Wichert of Olean and Amanda Peters of Olean; his granddaughter Morgan Wichert of Olean; and his sisters, Carol "Jan" Blakeslee (Gregg) of Cary, Annette Morrison (Ellis) of Greensboro and Kim McCullough of Chapel Hill.
