With solemn reverence, we commemorate Major James L. Tille of Old Forge, New York, born in Fremont, Ohio, whose life came to an end on September 2, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Tille and Thelma Tille (Myers); and his sister Carolyn VieBrooks. He is survived by: his significant other Diane Lochocki; his children, David Tille of Henniker, NH, Karen Wiskow of Indian Trail, NC and Martin Ruckel (Phyllis) of Niceville, FL; his grandchildren, Joshua Lahey, Zachary Wiskow, Jordan Wiskow (Sarah), Wava Adams (Darren), Marysa Moschella (Gabriel) and Tiffany Ruckel; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Oliver, Vance, Valentina, Lucy, Elias, Eoin and Tilly; and his brother Allen Tille.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Cemetery. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Old Forge American Legion (3141 NY-28, Old Forge, NY 13420).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name may be made to the Floyd Volunteer Fire Department, 8367 Old Floyd Rd, Rome, NY 13440 and the Covey-Pashley American Legion Post #893, 3141 NY-28, Old Forge, NY 13420.
