He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvia Rossell and Louis Thiel; and his brother Ken Thiel. He is survived by: his sons, Todd Patrick Thiel of Wickenburg, AZ and Brian Steven Thiel of Ogdensburg, NY.; his former wife Linda Scagel (Timothy) of Heuvelton, NY; and his brother Allen Thiel (Karen).
