It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lowell Alfred Nelson (Ogdensburg, New York), who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Nelson and Dorothy Fields Nelson; his grandfather Gilbert; his brother David; his sister-in-law Joan Nelson; and his grandson Jared Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Stella; his children, Wayne Nelson (MaryJane) of South Carolina, William Nelson (Darlene) of Lisbon, MaryAnne Connell (Steve) of Virginia and Michelle Snell (Gary) of Parishville; his stepsons, Steve Ladouceur (Kathy) of Carthage and Darren Ladouceur (Heidi Dutcher) of Fort Worth, Texas.; his grandchildren, Emily Boettcher (Chris), William Nelson (Sara Kerr), Alaina Nelson, Tyler Nelson, Patrick Nelson (Christina), Nicole Bright (Matt), Megan Brown (Tucker), Lucas, Emma, Clare Snell, Vanessa Libby (Kyle) and Ryan Ladouceur (Maddison); his siblings, Royal and Mary Campbell (Paul); and his sister-in-law Celeste Nelson. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (515 Caroline St, Ogdensburg, NY 13669). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of St Lawrence Valley or the First Presbyterian Church of Lisbon.
