It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John G. Joly of Ogdensburg, New York, who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Phillip Napoleon and Mame Taillon Joly (Jellie); his siblings, Phyllis, Bernadette Joly, Monsignor Paul Joly, Arthur Jellie (Dorothy) and Ralph Joly (Grace); and his daughter Katherine Wainwright Weegar.
He is survived by: his close friend Adrian Boyer; his children, Mary Wills (Michael) of Ogdensburg, Nicole Joly of Ogdensburg, Peggy Carpenter (Larry) of Kalamazoo, MI, John Joseph Joly (Leah) of Essex Junction, VT and Michael Wainwright (Dotty) of Hermon, N. Y.; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Toole, Lindsay Toole (Dominic Gonzalez-Padron), Mariel Robb (Gregory), Kenzie Bucher, Katie Manuel (Trevor), Emily Hitson (Kyle), Molly Carpenter (Dustin Phelan), Eva Joly, Isabella Joly, Megan Wainwright (Alex Schwan), Ashleigh Weegar (Alex Pappas) and Abrigail Weegar (Adam Ripa). He is also survived by great grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

John's last job was Foundation Director of St. Joseph's Nursing Home, which culminated with the construction of the new home on Linden Street.
