With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Anthony Jon Sweeney of Ogdensburg, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wilfred "Buster" Sweeney and Elaine Arduine; and his parents, Wilfred Sweeney and Clarine Sweeney (Denesha). He is survived by: his wife Janet Sweeney of Ogdensburg, NY; his daughters, April Williams (Robert) of Buffalo, NY and Dawn Flynn (Brian) of Schenectady, NY; his stepsons, Wilfred Piercey (Sandra) of Waynesville, MO, Jeffrey Piercey (Sue Ellen) of Ogdensburg, NY and Timothy Piercey (Lynette) of Ogdensburg, NY; and his sister JoAnn Sweeney of Brunswick, GA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The military honors was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oswegatchie Mausoleum (5968 NY-812, Ogdensburg, NY 13669).
