With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Sawyers of Oakfield, New York, born in New River, Virginia, who passed away on September 30, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hutcheson and Eulalia Hutcheson (Rollins); her husband Walter Sawyers; and her brothers, William (late Josephine), Donald, Richard (late Lucille) and Philip Hutcheson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Bulah Williams (late CJ) of Oakfield and Gail Sawyer of Gaithersburg, Maryland; her brother Earle Hutcheson (late Carolyn) of Maryland; her nieces and nephews, Gerald Hutcheson (Sandra) of Ohio, Karen Thistle (Glenn) of Virginia, Pam Hutcheson of Virginia, Andrea Easley (Lester) of Maryland, George Sawyer (Rosalee) of Batavia and Victoria Greenman (George) of Batavia; and her sister-in-law Ann Hutcheson of Washington, DC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
