He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Laney and Margaret Laney; his wife Judith G. Laney; and his siblings, Loretta Brown, Lawrence Laney and James Laney.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Laney (Karen) of Summerfield, David Laney, Sr. (Lisa) of Basom and Raymond Laney (Theresa) of Oakfield; his grandchildren, Kellie Buchanan (Rob), Sonya Laney-Davis (Jason), Ethan Laney (Ashley), Alicia Jachimowicz (Dan), David "Buddy" Laney, Jr. (Katie), Dennille Marble (Matt), Cassandra Griffin (Will), Michala Laney and Mackenzie Laney; and his sister Margaret Tyler of Batavia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
