It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorene May Shamblin (Oakfield, New York), who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorene May Shamblin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Shamblin; her parents, William Gibson and Mattie Daniels Gibson; and her son-in-law Harold Wilt of Cecelia's Cemetery. She is survived by: her sisters, Evelyn, Mattlene, Gerelene and Arlene; and her children, George Wayne Shamblin (Terry), Barbara Wilt, Brenda Shamblin (Dietmar Berndl) and John Shamblin (Gena). She is also survived by grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, honorary family members, neighbors, friends, and members of her church family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home (11 Maple Ave, Oakfield, NY 14125). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
