She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin "Curley" Chapell and A. Muriel Chapell (Jenkins); her siblings, Erwin Chapell, Linda Chapell, Nancy Dersam, Jeanette Moore (Richard) and Roger Kirkpatrick (Carol); and her brothers-in-law, Oscar Kessler and Dayton Schultz Sr..
She is survived by: her sisters, Carolyn Schultz and Norma Kessler; and her sister-in-law Carol Kirkpatrick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the purchase of a tree to be planted in Judy's memory at the group home where she lived.
