It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Johnson of Oakfield, New York, born in Alabama, New York, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Stokes and Bertha Stokes (Rich); her husband Lewis Johnson; her siblings, Robert Stokes, Marvin Stokes and Virginia Kidney; her siblings-in-law, Joseph Bezon, Ogan Kidney and Viola Stokes; and her niece Libby Jurs (Stokes).
She is survived by: her son Brice Johnson of Oakfield; her siblings, Raymond Stokes (Shirley) of East Bethany, Edith Bezon of Byron and Dixie Rudolph (Charles) of Batavia; her sister-in-law Doris Stokes of East Bethany; and her niece Laurie Vogt. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
