He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Robert of Holbrook, Debbie Schmidt (Billy) of North Babylon and Lynne Ficalora (Steven) of North Babylon; his grandchildren, Danielle and Austin; and his pet Bailey.

In lieu of flowers donations in Walter's memory to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 would be appreciated.
