It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Viola Slavik (Oakdale, New York), born in Patchogue, New York, who passed away on April 23, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Edward; and her daughter June. She is survived by: her children, Don (Maureen) of Blue Point, Ray (Pat) of Mastic, Ken (Barbara) of Texas and Gail Rotherforth (Darryl) of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services were private.

“My heartfelt sympathies to the family. Mrs. Slavik was a teachers' aid at Idle Hour Elementary where I attended from the early through the late 70s. I recall her firm yet kind presence with great fondness. One of her favorite statements to the children as we proceeded through the halls of the school was " Eyes front, lips sealed." May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
