She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James; her children, James Jr. (John), Kelly Dutton (Stephen) and Sara Piscitelli (Paul); her grandchildren, Rylee, Peyton, Weston, Wyatt, Stephen, Walker, Trevor and Wade; her parents, Jack Lessing and Judy Lessing; and her siblings, Schmiddy, Mary Beth, Michelle, Gregory, Kevin, Lee, Scott and Christopher.

A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's R. C. Church (20 Harrison Ave, East Islip, NY 11730).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laura's loving memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 110 Bi-County Blvd., Ste 114, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
