We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2020, at the age of 92, Peter E. Zaharis (Oak Hill, New York), born in Cortland, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter E. Zaharis to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evangelos Zaharis and Garefalia Marinos Zaharis; his wife Pipetsa Chacona; his grandson Peter (Mack); and his siblings, Adamandia Dentes, Connie Ward, Antonia Pappas and Leon.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Adrienne), Leon (Judith) and Peter (Debbie Preston); his grandchildren, Alexis, Mark, Elizabeth, Samantha, Karissa and Desiree; and his great grandchildren, Trenton and Tanner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of Pete's life will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pete's memory can be made to Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church or The History Center in Tompkins County.
