He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Swann and William Sanford; and his siblings, Albert Swann (Butch), Lawrence Swann, Dennis Swann, William Swann (Chet), Theodore Pritchard, Wayne Overton and Betty Elder.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Brandie, Shannon, John and Erica; his grandson EJ; his daughter Keisha Brandy (Woody); and his grandson Jalen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in his honor to The American Cancer Society, St Charles AME church and The American Heart Association.
