He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kolb Smith; his daughters, Karen Mulligan (Michael) and Maryann Smith; his daughters-in-law, Christine Smith and Marsha Geiger; and his son Keith Shapiro (JinHee). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
