He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Vahle Peterson and Elizabeth Mary McGuinness Powers; his son Patrick Peterson; and his great grandchild Braylynn Lawhon. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Jeffrey Peterson of Waco, TX, Charles Peterson II of Richmond, VA, Tami Hammel (Jay) of Parkersburg, WV and Jennifer Sholes of Parkersburg, WV; and his sister Alice Bower of Stony Point, NY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
