He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Brooks and Belle Valentine (Valentine); and his siblings, Gloria Samuel (Cooper), James and Eddie Brooks.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joan Brooks of Nyack, NY and Joseph Brooks (Beverly) of Scottsburg, VA.; and his son Carl F. Brooks (Nieves). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
