We are sad to announce that on June 24, 2023, at the age of 52, Wayne C. Cox (Norwood, New York), born in Potsdam, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cox and Betty Cox (Mitchell); his brothers, Daniel W., Daryl E. and Phillip S. Cox; and his father-in-law Sonny Gonyou.
He is survived by: his close friend Tina Gonyou; his sons, Zachary Cox (Shannon Searles) of Potsdam and Nicholas Cox of Potsdam; his stepsons, James Wright Jr. (Lindsey Paul) of Colton and Corey Wright (Victoria) of Colton; his sister Beth Anne Benner (Kendall) of Round Hill, Virginia; his nieces, Kate, Danielle, Tracy, Laura Beth and Mikayla; his aunts, Doris Hunt of Potsdam, Ann MacAdam of Sacramento and Kay Ramsay of West Potsdam; his uncle Ronald Mitchell of Canton; his mother-in-law Lillian Cuthbert; and his sisters-in-law, Monika Cox of Taberg, Karen Cox of Churchville and Diana Pruner (Jeremy) of Norwood. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to the Potsdam Animal Shelter.
