He was predeceased by: his father Russell W. Colbert (Bud); his sister Doris (Nick Rutkowski); and his mother Caroline Bingham Colbert. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Michaud Spotswood; his children, John Spotswood (Coleen Goss) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sue (Douglas Schipper); his nephew Jeff; and his nieces, Judith Rutkowski, Phyllis Markle, Nanette Rutkowski Nelson, Elizabeth Rutkowski (Betsy) and Janet Graven.
