He was predeceased by: his father Russell W. Colbert (Bud); his sister Doris (Nick Rutkowski); and his mother Caroline Bingham Colbert. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Michaud Spotswood; his children, John Spotswood (Coleen Goss) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sue (Douglas Schipper); his nephew Jeff; and his nieces, Judith Rutkowski, Phyllis Markle, Nanette Rutkowski Nelson, Elizabeth Rutkowski (Betsy) and Janet Graven.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Buck Funeral Home (7 Park St, Norwood, NY 13668). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Oswegatchie Memorial Park (5968 NY-812, Ogdensburg, NY 13669).
