He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Taylor Sr. and Florence Mae Taylor; his grandparents, Myrtle May and Charles Walter Taylor, Sr.; his siblings, Barbara Hartman (Bud), Pat Meyers, Ronald Lee Taylor and Nancy Taylor; and his children, Jackie Taylor and Bridget Girard (Jeff).

He is survived by: his wife Diane Taylor; his sister JoMarie Chandler; his children, Audrey Barnes (Bradley), Billy Taylor (Diana), Ronda Taylor-Schultz (Steven), Blane Taylor (Faith Duncan), Julie Olds (Ray), William Weidel II (Michelle Rowland) and Nichole Brandt (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Eric Bahn (Misty), Constance "Stuff" Greenbeck (Joe), Alan Girard, Heather Withrow, Rebecca Moreau, Michael Taylor, Gregory Taylor, David Taylor, Austin, Redding, Faith Redding, Randall Taylor (Ally), Grace Davis, Paige Pipitone (Nicholas), Kyle (Nicole), Smith, Andrew Payne, Cody Brandt, Alexei Weidel, Alexandra Weidel, Nickolas Brandt, Joseph Brandt Jr., Peyton Brandt and William Weidel III.
