He was predeceased by: his father Robert Waite Sr.; and his brother Rollin Waite. He is survived by: his mother Dora Waite (Haggett); his children, Jamie Derouchie (Aaron) of Norfolk and Taylor Jenkins (Jonathan) of Hopkinton; his grandson Tucker Derouchie; and his siblings, Sandy Colbert of Norwood, Judy Waite of Norwood, Robert Waite of Norwood and Sue Kane of Virginia.
