He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys; his children, James Liebfred Jr., Lyle Liebfred and Carol Ann Liebfred; his brother William Liebfred; and his parents, Frank Liebfred and Helen Liebfred (Wheeler).
He is survived by: his children, David (Diane) of Norwood and Judy (Arthur Dubois) of Gulfport, MS; his daughter-in-law Barbara Liebfred of St. Augustine, FL; his brother Richard Liebfred of Mitchell, IN; and his grandchildren, John Liebfred (Heather) of Parishville, Steven Liebfred of Florida, James (Meredith) of Gulfport, MS, Joseph Dubois of Gulfport, MS, Carol Kench of Ogdensburg, Lee (Kevin Gollaher) of Potsdam, Jennifer Liebfred (David DeShane) of Potsdam, Shannon (Kurt Russell) of Massena, Melissa Barber of Massena and Michael (Jodi Liebfred) of Norfolk. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
