She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Pep" Maiurano and Rose Maiurano (D'Ambra); her sister Kate; her brother-in-law Ken Stewart; and her siblings, Rosaria Delmonico, Jim Maiurano and Francis "Pep" Maiurano.
She is survived by: her husband Dick Fern of Wake Forest, NC; her children, Katie Mahan (Chris) of Richmond, VA and Matt Fern of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughters, Neiley and Hannah Mahan of Richmond, VA; her pet Gypsy; her brother Joseph; her sisters-in-law, Dawn Maiurano of Norwich, Carol Maiurano of Norwich and Joanne Tarbell of Sherburne; and her close friend Carole Gagliano of Auburn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
