He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth P. Merchant Sr.; his brothers, Don and Sherm Merchant; and his grandson Ryan Kenneth Gawronski (Lauri). He is survived by: his son David Kenneth Merchant of Tyner, N. Y.; his wife Beatrice Burdette of Baltimore, M. D; his daughter Cheryl Merchant Gawronski (Merchant) of Dunkirk, N. Y.; his granddaughter Julie Tickle (Sam); his granddaughter-in-law Lauri Gawronski; and his sister Shirley Wood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
