He was predeceased by: his father Carl Rice; his siblings, Mary, Wanda, Carl Rice and Eric Rice; and his stepsister Sharlene Rice Woodard.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, John H., Marie Rice II, Candace L. and Brian Walsh; his grandchildren, Brian Walsh II, Daryn Rice, Justin Rice, Nicole Oxsheer, Albert Rall and Christopher Rall; and his siblings, William (Tina Rice), Penny Cribbs and Brenda West. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters in law.
