He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward J. Granger and Agnes F. Granger (Nightengale); his former life partner Michele; his stepson Daniel Boone Graef; and his brothers, William Kraft and Edward J. Granger Jr. (Toad).

He is survived by : his son William Granger of Oxford; his stepdaughter Jenny Graef of McDonough; and his siblings, Gloria Middleton of Guilford, Ruby VanDuser of Cato and Kenneth Granger (Sue) of East Pharsalia. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
